Changelog
Last updated: 30 October 2026
What changed in each build, newest first. During testing there is an entry per build, because testers are not all on the same one and a report is only answerable if we know which build it came from.
Your build number is at the bottom of Settings, next to Version.
Problems we know about and have not fixed yet are on the known issues page.
0.1.0 (11) - 30 October 2026
Now in closed testing, so this is the build you will get. Nothing here changes how feedings, weights or medical records are stored, and nothing you have already logged is affected.
New
-
A booked spay or neuter now looks booked. The date field always let you enter a date in the future, but a kitten going in next Tuesday looked exactly like one already done. An upcoming date now reads Scheduled for, in colour, with its own icon.
-
A reminder the day before a spay or neuter. It arrives at noon the day before, not on the morning itself, because clinics usually ask for food to be withheld from the afternoon or evening before and drop-off tends to be very early. One alert per litter per clinic date, however many kittens are going. It has its own switch in Settings, and its own Android notification channel, so you can silence it without touching your feeding alerts.
-
Hand a litter's records to another rescue. On a litter or a kitten, the ... menu now has Export records, which makes a single file of the weights, feeding history and medical records and opens your phone's normal share menu so you can send it however you already message people. On the other end, Settings - Import records from another rescue opens that file, shows you exactly what is in it, and only then adds it as a new litter. Nothing you already have is changed.
Photos are not included. Importing the same file twice warns you instead of quietly creating a second copy of the litter.
For now the file has to be saved first and then opened from Settings. Tapping the attachment to open it straight into Purrgress is on the list but not done yet.
Changed
- Naming a new litter. The hint about what a litter name is for disappeared as soon as you started typing, and at least one person named the litter after one of their cats. It now stays on screen and says that you name each kitten next, and the button reads Next: add kittens and takes you straight into the litter.
0.1.0 (10) - 11 October 2026
Fixed
- On a kitten's Medical tab, the Add record button sat partly behind the phone's navigation bar.
0.1.0 (9) - 9 October 2026
Fixed
-
A feeding or weigh-in could be saved with a time later than the moment you saved it, usually by picking PM when you meant AM. A feeding dated ahead of now was then treated as the kitten's most recent feed, so the app showed it as recently fed, hid the red Due now marker, and pushed its next reminder out by the size of the mistake. Nothing warned you.
The app now tells you if the time you picked is in the future, and will not treat a future entry as the latest feed or weigh-in even if one gets in another way.
Worth checking if you have entered older feedings by hand: open a kitten's History tab and look for anything dated later than it should be. Correcting the time puts it right.
0.1.0 (8) - 4 October 2026
Fixed
- A feeding reminder now disappears once you have logged the round. It used to stay in the notification shade until you swiped it away, which on a shared team could tell a second foster a litter was still due after it had been fed.
- Feedings now default to the method you last used for that kitten, rather than always to bottle. The one-tap feed button on the round list was recording "Bottle" whatever you actually use, with no screen to correct it on; if you feed another way, earlier entries from that button may say bottle and are worth checking.
- The one-tap button now says which method it will record, not just the amount.
Changed
- A kitten's Today tab now shows the last 24 hours rather than every feeding it had loaded, which for a neonate was about five days. Earlier entries are on the History tab. It is a rolling 24 hours on purpose: a calendar day would empty the tab at midnight for anyone in the middle of an overnight round. The counters at the top are still for the calendar day, measured against the daily target.
- Kitten photos use less memory. No visible change.
0.1.0 (7) - 1 October 2026
Fixed
- The Round screen could show a stale "hours since fed" if the app was left open, for instance overnight with the phone locked. It now keeps time properly, and the list reorders as kittens become due. This was the one worth shipping mid-test: the app was stating the number it exists to track, and stating it low, which is the direction that delays a feed.
- The save button no longer sits under the phone's navigation bar when adding a feeding, a weight, or an outcome.
- The date and the time of a feeding are now separate taps. Previously one button opened the date picker and then the time picker, and dismissing the date picker cancelled both, so there was no way to change only the time.
0.1.0 (6) - 1 October 2026
First build available through closed testing on Google Play.
New
- Report a problem, from Settings, from a kitten's page, and from a person on the People screen. Reports reach a person, not a queue.
- A link to account deletion in Settings.
- Announcements about the app and the terms, shown once each and archived on the website.
Changed
- The terms now say plainly what is not allowed in the app, how to report it, and what we do about a report. See section 6.
0.1.0 (3) - 30 September 2026
Internal builds before Play. Listed for completeness; nobody outside testing ran these.
New
- Microchip numbers, with the format checked as you type and a scanner for the barcode on a chip package.
- History and Doses tabs on a kitten: every feeding and weigh-in grouped by day with totals, and every dose with who gave it.
- Weights in pounds and ounces as two separate boxes, rather than a decimal.
Fixed
- Feeding amounts were wrong. The suggested amount now follows the kitten's weight, and how often follows its age, which is what the rescue charts actually say. The previous version could suggest far too much in one feed and too little across a day for the youngest kittens.
- A foster assigned to a litter could see it listed with no kittens in it until they refreshed.
- The save button could sit under the keyboard on some phones.
