Important information

Purrgress, purrgressapp.com

Short, and worth reading once before you rely on the app for an animal that cannot afford a mistake.

It is not veterinary advice

The app shows general reference figures for feeding amounts and expected weight gain. They are a starting point for a healthy kitten, not an assessment of yours.

If a kitten is cold, limp, not eating, or losing weight, call your vet. Do not wait for an app to tell you something is wrong, and do not let a figure on a screen talk you out of what you are seeing in your hands. The people who built this are fosters, not veterinarians.

Reminders are a convenience, not a life-support system

Phones delay notifications, restart themselves, run out of battery, and get left in another room. Android may also hold back alarms to save power, and there is a limit to how much any app can do about that.

Set a separate alarm for overnight feeds. Treat a Purrgress reminder as a second pair of eyes, never the only one.

Care records belong to the rescue, not to the app

A litter's feeding, weight and medical history stays with the team responsible for the animals. If a foster leaves, or deletes their account, that history does not go with them.

Your own personal details are a separate matter and are deleted whenever you ask. See the privacy notice for what is stored and Settings → Delete your account for how to ask.

It is early software

Purrgress is in testing. Feedings and weights you log are real and will still be there afterwards, but it should not yet be the only place a medical record lives. Problems we already know about are on the known issues page, and what changed in each build is on the changelog.
