Learning the app
How to use it walks through the whole thing in plain language: logging feedings and weights, correcting an entry you got wrong, typing in old paper records, medications, reading the growth chart, and sharing a rescue with other fosters.
Getting help
For anything at all, whether a bug, a question, or a feature that would make your fostering easier, email support@purrgressapp.com.
It helps to include what phone you are using, what you were doing, and what happened instead. A screenshot is worth several paragraphs.
Early access
Purrgress is in testing with a small group of fosters before it goes on Google Play. If you would like in, email support@purrgressapp.com with the Google account address you would sign in with, and the rescue you foster for. You will get a Play Store link that installs it like any other app - no sideloading, no developer settings.
Suggest a feature
Purrgress is built by someone who fosters, which means the obvious features are the ones I have needed myself. The useful ideas come from people whose fostering looks different from mine, so if something would make your week easier, say so.
Email support@purrgressapp.com with "Feature idea" in the subject.
Worth including: what you are doing now instead, and roughly how often it comes up. A request that describes the problem usually gets a better answer than one that describes a solution, because there is often a simpler way to fix it than the one either of us thought of first.
Everything gets read. Not everything gets built, and I would rather say so plainly than leave good ideas sitting unanswered.
Privacy questions
Anything about your data, whether a copy of it, a correction or a removal, goes to privacy@purrgressapp.com. The privacy notice lists what is collected and who can see it.
Deleting your account and data
Email privacy@purrgressapp.com from the address on your account and say you want the account deleted. It is done within 30 days, and you get a confirmation when it is.
What is deleted:
- your sign-in account, and the identifier linking it to Google
- your name, email address, and profile photo
- the display name you set in each team
- your membership and role in every team
- pending invitations you sent or received
- any alert-sharing arrangements you are part of
What stays with the rescue:
- feedings, weights and medical records for the animals, because they are that rescue's medical history and an adopter or a vet may need them
- photographs of the animals, and notes on their records
Those entries also record who logged them. Ask and your name comes off. The entries become "logged by a former member" with everything else intact, and you do not have to give a reason. The same goes for anything personal you typed into a free-text note.
If you are the owner of a team with other members, transfer ownership first or say what should happen to the team, so you are not removing other people's access along with your own.
Reporting a security problem
Email privacy@purrgressapp.com rather than posting it publicly, and it will be fixed. Access is enforced by server-side rules, and those rules have an automated test suite behind them, but no system is perfect and a report is a favour, not a nuisance.
